Mine and select
Generate enough material, score the strength of each story, and choose a balanced portfolio rather than preparing one answer per question.
The Bar Raiser Story Lab
Build four to six interview-ready stories that show how you perform, decide, lead, recover, and learn - without memorising scripts or guessing which question comes next.
The course is being completed now. Existing members can still sign in.
The problem
Most candidates collect questions and write long STAR answers. The result is too much context, unclear ownership, weak evidence, and stories that collapse as soon as the interviewer probes.
The Story Lab starts with the quality of the evidence. You select what genuinely demonstrates your level, build the logic underneath it, and then learn to communicate it top-down.
How the work unfolds
Generate enough material, score the strength of each story, and choose a balanced portfolio rather than preparing one answer per question.
Paste the draft you have and rebuild it from the benchmark, responsibility, obstacle, decision, actions, result, and learning.
Create a direct answer, a one-line story headline, and a two- or three-point spoken route.
Challenge the claims, rehearse compression and expansion, and make every selected story survive scrutiny.
Create the one-page prompt sheet, plan the final 24 hours, and protect the performance when the interview begins.
What is included
Questions
Download the workbook and open the Story Workspace sheet. Each selected story has its own persistent block. Paste the version you have today into the raw-story field, then rebuild the evidence underneath it.
It will contain four short videos, but the product is built around your work. Expect approximately 36-44 minutes of video and 3-5 hours of guided preparation.
You will see limited fictional demonstrations of structure and diagnosis. You will not receive answers to memorise.
No. Hiring decisions depend on many factors. The Story Lab gives you a structured way to select, build, communicate, and test your own evidence.
